My legs were so sore yesterday, recovering from standing for something like 6 hours for wedding and reception, I think I sat down long enough to eat dinner and desert, but spent the rest of the time wandering around between groups of drunk friends of my cousin. We had the Bride’s family and friends that really stuck to themselves, Our family, who kinda wandered around the room as soon as it was polite, lots of chair swapping.. there was the obligatory drunk female friends of the bride and groom - snogging and almost heavy petting in dark corners, a blonde girl in a mini black dress that looked like it was in danger from rolling up, or rolling down and immitating a belt.. and if she bent over you could see what she had for breakfast .. so lots of eye candy for any single men.. However prospects for my sister and cousin (a bridesmaid) were slim, most of the men were attached, or too young (both are 28) and I think my cousin believes she is Brigid Jones, she lives alone with 2 cats and a few books. I have no doubt she will meet and marry someone fabulous who will give her the love and attention she deserves.

So last night I before work started I got the two long dvd’s of Lord of the Rings, Fellowship and Two towers and watched them whilst I worked, which made the time pass quite rapidly. Work was a little slow but nothing too stressful, and tonight for work, I have all three Matrix DVD’s which is what i will be watching tonight whilst working. I’ll probably be chatting to a couple of friends online aswell.. and tomorrow, watch perhaps 6 episodes of The World at War - since I have already watched 6 episodes already.. :) I went for my walk today and it was nice and cool - I love winter, I am really looking forward to the cold and wet and lots of rain!

Finally I have been watching the news with regards to Iraq, and I think someone leaving a comment in my blog about the last post misunderstood what I meant.. was now they have started with the Japanese, did they mean to kidnap people from other countries and apply the same demands, and of course, they have. Iraqis have taken hostages from many countries now, none from Australia, but I have no doubt there will be someone soon that will be taken. Our Prime Minister is still standing firm in his committment to keep Australia in Iraq, they need to finish what they have begun - yes of course they do.. but the point is they shouldn’t have been in there in the first place.

According to International Law, John has broken the law, and is an international war criminal, they lied to the public about weapons of mass destructions (another defense employee has said she was told to lie in reports - orders which came from the govt.) They’ve decided that the potential harm a country could do to others, because they were suspected of having the means and motive was justification enough to go in and bomb the crap out of the country, killing civilians and army members. It’s immoral. I can see parallels with a book that was written by Phillip K Dick. In the future, the police have 3 empaths which can predict crimes such as murder before it happens, and the police find the culprit before they kill their intended victim, convict them and sentence them to life in prison - which is being frozen stored or something. However, one of the empaths predicts alternative paths, that at the crucial moment before the crime occurs, they can choose to kill someone, or not kill them. However, the choice is taken away by the police who ignore the alternative path, insist that the culprit is and was going to kill their intended victim, without giving them the freedom to choose or make the right decision. (apologies to anyone who hasn’t read the book, or seen the movie). I suggest everyone read the book, or see the movie called Minority Report. Imagine the US and the coalition of the willing, is the police who enforce these future crimes.
