Last week I walked 8.5kms - this week I am aiming for 10kms. I do have a bad knee however so I need to be careful how I push myself when walking. But I am all excited. I am going to be walking about 15 minutes after getting up in the morning, and then walking home from the bus at night, I calculated to be roughly 2kms from the bus stop that I want to get off at in the afternoons.
I have purchased a new bag which will sit on my back - rather than me holding it with one arm because this will help me walk and tire me less. I want an mp3 player. I was thinking of an IPOD - however, it might be a bit expensive and really, I only want it to listen to music with when walking home at night.
I had an argument with a friend about a gline. An oper who cycles sydney glining spambots had some kind of debate, and whatever was said, resulted in him removing himself from the channels including sydney that he was helping with spambots and keeping the numbers down. My friend believed the gline was unfair because it removes adsl users from a certain area, I didn’t have a problem with it tho
.. anyways.. The argument is not appreciated as he is one of a very minute number of opers who sit in channels actively removing spambots from the network.
I’m not really happy about this. The channel is affected by an Oper spat, and there’s no one else who will do what this oper did by cycling the channel to remove bots. It’s not prudent for me to continue talking about this issue now, because of my position on the network, but i certainly am not thinking favourable thoughts.

I got chatted up a bit today when I was helping someone with questions about international calls. He noticed I wasn’t from Sydney (apparently I was friendly) and then he asked my Starsign - haha classic!. It’s been a while since I have been chatted up on the phone !

I spent my first day on the phones today after some revision time. I think it was a ploy “double jacking this week then the test” We actually ended up sitting by ourselves at PC’s with phones and leapt in feet first. My first call was an hour long
It was a horrible call and overall I think I did ok. The CCA who was supervising us seemed to think I was doing ok, so it’s all good. I’ll get to work early tomorrow to look at the handouts and do the questionaire we were given.
I had a chat to mum last night, and family is ok. I am missing my friends at the moment, one in particular - our time tables clash alot so I don’t get to talk to them as much anymore due to work committments. Another friend is coming over tomorrow night, looking forward to that visit
This working fulltime in an office idea kinda sucks when it comes to social life. I really adapted to working from home and realise now just how lucky I had it. I had my shifts to work, I’d do the support, follow up with the Admin time and catching up with staff who needed assistance, do the timetabling changes if needed and then toddle off. I had the luxury of doing things at home like the washing and housework whilst working on support shifts and it was quiet. Now.. I have to have clean clothing by Sunday night. I think what I will do is have 2 washing days, one on Wednesday nights and the other on Sunday.

I took my first calls today for work. I think I am going to love it. I had a very funny call which totally made me realise the job is going to be fun.
guy: Hi i am calling about activating my mobile phone?
me: is the sim card in the phone?
guy: yes it is
me: OK can you switch it off and back on again to see if it the card works and if a signal comes up on the phone?
guy: If I do that, I’ll hang up on you when you’re trying to help me
me: … well I guess if you are calling me from the phone you’re trying to activate, then activation has worked!!

It has been six days since my last submission, and I have not much to report. Aside from the voting for a blogger meet up, I have lost a kilo somewhere. I don’t think I want to find it however, so I’ll just move on from those thoughts. Work during the week was really difficult. There was so much we had to learn, and I really don’t know if I have understood or remembered it all.
I have given David from Staypuff the responsibility during his term of unemployment to watch Passions and keep me up to date with Tabitha the Witch, zombie Charity, Sam and Grace agonising over their love for eachother, other people and completely forgetting that they have kids to look after and of course, timmy, the doll that wanted to be a boy! David however has run screaming saying the will be going out tomorrow instead. Must have update from him at least once this week :>
We do phone training tomorrow.. yay for me.
I need a hug.
I can fit into more clothes and am pretty excited about it.
Nite Nite Diary.
