Has anyone watched this movie?
If you haven’t and you don’t mind listening to Mandarin, and reading subtitles, then people need to watch it. This movie, much like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is something very special. It’s based on an old legend I think from China when it was split into many kingdoms. A king conquers other Kingdoms to unite China as one nation, and to do so, he must kill many people. Assassins are sent forth to kill him, but in the end, only one is successful in getting close enough to the Emporer to kill him. The story is in the tale that of how assassin got to the palace, and his decision once he got there.
I think it’s a spiritual movie, and must be watched with an open mind. I suggest you don’t listen to the movie dubbed in english - you really don’t get to hear the beauty of the language and the emotions conveyed, you don’t need to understand the language to appreciate the message. This is why I say, you should read the subtitles, and listen to the message.
