It’s freezing. It’s too cold for this, so I am wrapped up in bed watching TV with the laptop keeping me company. M is busy working, and I watch the men’s marathon and wonder that perhaps it should have been run first and not the women’s marathon last week, apparently it’s 10 degrees C cooler. I really feel bad for the Brazilian dude, attacked 5kms from the finish line by a rogue greek protester. He finished the Marathon in 3rd place instead of 1st. Who knows if he might have finished 1st if it hadn’t been for that moron leaping out of trees and pushing him into the crowd.

I had a pretty heavy political discussion tonight with a couple of people and found myself getting really annoyed. I have to avoid these discussions because it’s obvious nothing we say is going to have an impact on eachother. They are going to vote for Howard, and I am not. So I turned to the marathon to save me from frustration. Watching those guys run pointlessly for a silly bit of metal makes me wonder why.

I went for a walk today in Kings Park with friends, which was great, and spent time listening to them talking about dogs, buying houses (something i am yet to do) and concentrating on my walking. I went along that new treetop walk, and I think it’s pretty awesome. Not as scary as the one down south near Walpole. I dropped in and visited the parent’s on the way home and watched a couple of movies with dad and had a good chat. You should see the new computer case dad has.. talk about drool factor - he’s building this new u-beaut machine with 3 huge fans that run quietly, it’s got perspex for part of the case to show off the fans and lil blue and red led lights to make it glow in the dark. He’s going to build the perfect system apparently. Some of the features though are great. I’ll get him to email me photo’s of the completed box when it’s done.

I started up a new blog for an experiment - a techno blog I guess. Since I am now working in mobile phones, I thought I’d do a mobile phone geek blog, as an experiment - and talk about mobile phones in layman’s terms - so regular people can understand what I am talking about.. so I can understand what I am talking about. So I’ll link it here and over on the other side under the other perth blogs and you can all laugh at me later.
