FW: More work and travel thoughts.

Hello Trenchbuddies!

Writing from the trenches again today, I was a little late for work this morning due to having to take M to the AEC to fill out his change of address form. He really does want to ensure that his enrolment is up to daye and then he won’t miss out on voting! God knows why. A few people are commenting liberals will win the election, but I believe that once again they will be given a run for their money and that those of the true faith - Will once more triumph over evil!

Imagine Mark Latham as Winston Churchill, standing - at a beach talking about taking on John Howard, fighting him on the beachs, and in the streets and taking it to the man! OK - ironic thoughts really, since Johnny is actually related to Winston Churchill. some kind of great uncle - Shame really, I really admire Churchill, I’ve been reading his books about WW2. Very interesting.

The other night… I think there has been some misunderstandings on a few points of communication. I hope we can sort this stuff out since this person is a good friend of mine.

I have been slack today, not so many calls as I would like, but I have taken each call with enthusiasm and trying to improve on how I talk to customers and make sure I don’t cut them off! I seem to do have developed that habit, so I need to slow down and listen before going off and not letting them chat first. This month we’re focusing on quality of customer service, so yes, that’s what I’ll be aiming for. Meh - i have noticed a few typos creeping into my typing. It is possible that everyone’s bad spelling habits here at work have infected me, must work harder to not make so many errors.

I just found out about my QCL for this week. I am kinda irritated at one small thing, someone is getting bonus points for a commendation, the competitor in me doesn’t like it. *sigh* Deal with the irritation factor lori and move on! I am now learning not to let my personal life and issues interfere with work, which is very important to me. I need this job to be my escape from home life, and my home life to be my escape from work, and never the twain shall meet.

I started investigating prices for my trip overseas I am planning for late next year. I want to wander around EU for a couple of weeks, and Thailand and Bali aswell. I found a website that hunts for prices, basically a series of one way trips from destination to destination, which looks like it might be cheaper overall. I’ll check my email tonight. My intention is to pay off my Visa like I am paying off a layby - then buy the tickets. Then pay the Visa card off again, Buy other stuff I’ll need, then pay off more, and have spending money. Seems easier to do it this way than carry cash. I’ll be organised then. I wonder if I can apply to have the limit increased…
