Am I a winner? Or a loser?
Well not sure what happened to my post I sent from work, but it’s not arrived here and now I have to sit and remember it for all it’s glory.
M has always said that I spoil surprises and have a natural instinct for it. I think perhaps he is right after today.
I was going through my schedule for work after being notified i was going to be doing DUI training, I already have training this week for my CertIII in Telecommunications, but the DUI side is so I can talk to people wanting to hook up their internet service and needing help if things break.
I also noticed that I had some “other duties” listed during that week, and no entry saying what they were.. So being the curious creature I am, I emailed my TL - she replied saying she had no idea and to ask the OTL. This made me suspicious. He was not there at the desk having gone home.
A small bell went off in the back of my mind, and I started searching for an email about the presentation of the quarterly awards. If you remember, a couple of weeks ago I mentioned I had first won the team award for the month for Best Customer Service, and I then won the Team award for the quarter for Teamwork. So this award presentation is for the overall winner in Customer Care for the last Quarter.
So I dig out the email and look at the time and date, they match. Bingo! Then comes the rush of excitement, I must have won something, the email says “winners have had time scheduled to be at the award” I have had time scheduled. Now my next thought is, what have I won.. is it me or a cruel joke? do I get first, second or third place?
So there I was typing up my post, which was supposed to be alot better than this one grinning like a cheshire cat, and the guy next to me says “what are you grinning about?” *EEK* “nothing!” says I, hiding the blog post, “just making an entry into my diary” He nods and the phone rings - thank god. Discussion diverted, and I email the missing post.
I am going to look like such a goob if it turns out I am not a winner in this quarterly prize thingy. Then I’ll be a loser instead. Heh.
