So it’s one of those days today. I didn’t really feel like taking calls of people whinging about their phones, but I did it with grace, and then I started getting DUI calls (dial up internet) I realised how much i didn’t know about activations with codes and dealer CDs and all that BS. I have managed to get through 2 activations, and these people had to call back *sigh* for further help. I helped others by.. *drumroll* rebooting their computer!!! oh and adding *44 in front of the dialup number so they could switch off call waiting. Stops them from getting DC’d off the net when they are online.
I’ve had alot more energy to do stuff, so yesterday I did a bucket load of housework. I cleaned the dining room, lounge, entry room, my office, 2 toilets and half the bathroom and then i did the cobwebbing in some of those rooms. I haven’t finished yet. It will have to wait till I get home after work this week for me to complete some of these tasks, such as the bathroom, which is swept, but nothing has been cleaned.
Geekgirl lori has managed to get Wine working. I was asking M for help for stuff, but he’s been busy cleaning out his office and re-organising it. So I have been installing all sorts of things to try and get them fixed. In the process, I got Wine working which has let me use my IRC application mIRC. mIRC is a windows’ app. I’ve been having trouble getting to grips with Xchat. I am still going to persevere, it looks like TCL is something I can work with, heaven knows how anyone can understand perl.. I am not one of them. I am definitely not a programmer, and my scripting skills really aren’t anything to write home about - but I get by, and I can understand vaguely how TCL works.
I couldn’t sleep last night. I lay awake thinking about my relationship with M - our anniversary came and went and it wasn’t marked. Last year was the same. I don’t know what we can do about that, but I guess something needs to happen - 11 years together isn’t something to be sneezed at.
