Flag burning

I encountered the most stunning picture on the BBC news website, of a burning israeli flag. I decided i wanted see other photo’s of nation’s flags burning. There were alot of US flags being burnt. I place below some flag burning pictures from the US; UK; Japan; Mexico; Israel and Australia. The URL’s listed for each country show the website I obtained these burning images from.

Israel

Mexico

Rule Britannia

USA

Japan

AussieAussieAussie

I need to point out something … All of these photo’s where taken during protests, some ugly, some racist, religious, political protests. Whilst I am aware, that there are news articles of students who burnt the Australian flag as a protest, the only one i could find as a picture on google, was a typical Aussie barbie, with some drunken yobbos having fun and burning the flag for a bit of a laugh. In some way, I find that ironic.

The Korean writing is refering to Dokdo island which both Korean and Japan are claiming. Officially, under international law, Korean own it but Japan like to stir the pot every 3 or 4 years.

BAN the ability to burn the flag because we are proud of our flag and what it stands for.
