I have been taking more customer calls recently as my therapy for stress at work… less escalated calls for me! So, I’ve been doing alot of internet calls, ADSL and dialup.

Last night I was hammering through my calls, and one guy made me laugh. He rang up to complain about his ADSL not working, that it had intermittent dropouts and wanted to know what the problem was. So I got his details, and found out who he was - and that’s when he stopped me.

“oh hang on” he says
“Yes sir? ” says I,
“This is Xcompany* right?” he asks.
“Yes sir!” I reply.
“oh bugger, I’m not with you for broadband, I’m with Zcompany*” He laughs with embarrassment
” … ” I thought.
” oh well, I guess I’ll go now - hope you don’t laugh at me too much!” He laughs again.
“oh I wouldn’t do that Sir! Have a great night!” I reply back in saccharine sweet tones

So glad he wasn’t one of ours. Now I know that Zcompany* isn’t perfect either
