What the?
I checked my mail today.
I opened it and was totally shocked by the contents. I have been accused of being involved in a motor vehicle accident when I was on holidays in November. Apparently I drove to the car park behind my work and on the stroke of midnight, had an accident in the carpark and drove home again and didn’t report it.
I don’t understand why whoever reported it waited several months. I don’t understand how they can say it was me, when I clearly wasn’t there. When I went to the Police station, and a female Officer told me that I would have to prove it wasn’t me.. as she said “if there were 10 witnesses that saw the accident, you would have a hard time saying it wasn’t you.” This was AFTER she returned from talking to her police seargeant.
Gah, now I am going to worry about this all weekend. This better not be deliberate. I told her there was no way it was me, and she said if that was the case, the investigating officer would open the case file and investigate it and if someone has made a false statement then charges would be laid against them. I hope that happens. I just hope this was a mistake and not a malicious act.
UPDATE: I am in the clear, the peon who reported my car saw it had some rear bumper damaged, noticed my car was white (like about 60% of call cars in AU are white or something) and assumed it was my car. I can rip up the letter, it’s not me!

I am sorry to hear about this. I hope all gets sorted out and the false statement is nullified. Good luck with everything and take care!

Have you been monitoring the movements of your doppleganger recently? Nasty if not monitored they are…

Tom: no one has access to my car - i was home alone, watching TV and the keys were locked inside my flat with me.
Yamila: It’ll sort itself out, i have to talk to the police on Monday.

Lori,
Is there a security staff where you park? They might be a good place to ask questions.
