The little things…

I have nothing to post tonight.

My brain is empty.

I should think about sleeping soon, but I like the idea of another coffee.

I found this on another blog, FictionScribe. A Good read and I thought I’d paste it with my Answers. According to the scribe if you answer yes to 14 or more? then you are unethical. So let’s put this to the test.

WOULD YOU OR HAVE YOU EVER. . . YES or NO

1. Blame a friend or classmate or co-worker for a mistake you made? No; my mum brought me up to be honest. Own your mistakes or you will never learn.

2. Copy a friend’s homework? No; I was the only person in my group of friends who was doing TEE subjects.

3. Lie on your biography or resume to get a job or get accepted to college? No; pointless lying you’ll get caught.

4. Deliberately hurt, embarrass or ridicule a co-worker? Yes; because they were making me look bad. It was to ridicule, and to make a point that he was a gutless liar. It worked.

5. Not return change to a salesperson that gave you more than you were due? No; the other week I was at the pub, and I got back too much change from the publican. When I went back for my second drink I gave the dude the change back, and he gave me my drink for free!

6. Read or open someone else’s mail? No; It was drummed into me as a child that it’s illegal to open someone else’s mail. I always thought a policeman was going to catch me.

7. Cheat at a game or contest in order to boost your score? No; I keep thinking people are honest.

8. Drive on the shoulder of a road in order to get ahead of other cars when you are running late? No; suck it down and relax, better to get to work calm and fine free.

9. Knowingly violate the speed limit? Yes; I used to, not anymore, I can’t afford the fines.

10. Not report someone you see stealing or cheating on a test? No; I never saw people cheat at school.. but I was very square

11. Betray a friend’s confidence by telling others his/her secrets? No; I had this done to me at the age of 19 by a best friend, I have never forgiven her, or spoken to her again.

12. Deliberately throw or leave paper or trash on the floor or ground? No; so many adds about keeping australia clean have been burnt into my brain. My car makes a good trashcan.

13. Damage someone’s property (like denting a car door and nobody sees you) and then not fess up to it? No; I was too square and admitted to everything I did.

14. Ask a friend to tell you test questions? No; cheats never prosper and usually get caught.

15. Allow your dog to “poop” on a neighbor’s lawn and not clean it up? No; that’s what plastic bags are for.

16. Pretend to be sick at work or at school when you were not? Y; I was stressed.

17. Copy and use software on your computer that you did not purchase? Yes; then I purchased a real copy of XP, and I use Open Office.

18. Park in a handicapped spot? No; I used to work for a disability organisation and we had a parking permit for my grandma, I get outraged when I see fake people parking there and they don’t have a permit.

19. Download a music file such as mp3 from the Internet that you do not purchase or was not being given away? No; Artists work hard to produce the work, there’s stacks of free MP3’s around if you know where to look.

20. Spray graffiti on a building or write/carve a message on a tree, bathroom stall or school desk? Yes; I scratched my initials onto a brick wall, it’s still there 20 years later :D

21. Cover up for or not report a friend whom you know has stolen or done something illegal? N; none of my friends have done anything bad that they have told me about, I am a square.

So, I guess I’m pretty ethical… Not sure if it’s that scientific! Interesting none-the-less
