Social awkwardness
Awesome.. what a weekend.
I went out on Friday for coffee and dinner with friends. Upset MM, since I didn’t let him know I was going to be late!
Work was good.. No work on the weekend, always great.
ANYWAYS
Have to tell you about a funny thing that happened on Saturday. Two of my good friends got engaged and had an engagement party. I felt sad, but got over it. Borrowed my mum’s car, after doing the obligatory visit because the parental units felt that they needed to see me because I am going on my trip.
so.. the party is in some godforsaken part of Rockingham (where bogans grew up and moved out, and the trailer trash moved in)
Awesome party, great backyard. Didn’t realise that I would meet so many of the family of both friends and then of course, came across the X of one of our mates who is going out with a chick, who is an X of 2 other mates in our group of 10 or so. So I did the nice thing, hug and kiss.. HIIII HOW IS IT GOING, LOVELY TO SEE YOU, MUST CATCH UP.. BUHBYE! and run off to see my friends.
The X rocks up about 10 minutes later, with her sister, and starts talking to me. We were talking about our mate, going out with another chick after X, and so we stop. I start talking to X + 1, and my friends after 5 minutes, get up and walk off leaving me stuck between X on my right, and her sister, on my left.
SHIT - you bitches I thought to myself, smiling and staying to talk..
Eventually, someone came around and was like.. go get the food! I make my excuses and dash off, find my other friends and after a few minutes polite conversation..
“thanks so much for leaving me with X + 1″
“oh, but we thought you were friends”
“I was being polite”
“Oh, but you were being so nice to them”
“That’s because my mum brought me up to be nice, you bitches!”
“oh we are soo sorrryyy.. we were feeling a bit weird n stuff”
Sure no worries, I will just be left holding the can for the rest of you rude people.
Seriously, in a social situation what the hell do you do when you are left holding the evidence??

Hello Loretta. You know we are armed with bitching-radars and will find you wherever you lurk on the internet. In our defense, these rude bitches with no manners at all felt that you had infact decided to detach from our cool group to fraternise with the Enemy. FYI we moved away because it was freezing and you guys weren’t near the heaters. Sozzy.
