Work related stuff, and then social life related stuff 
I was agonising over the last couple of weeks about my prospects when it came to work. Caught in an awkward position, where me wanting something which would improve my resume, actually results in my pay being cut. Then thinking I had trapped myself in some kind of career loop with the only way out, being leaving the company and going elsewhere, or trying for a transfer to another department.
Then yesterday, I had a nightmare of a day. We did stuff to customer’s internet accounts which will eventually make their lives easier. However there were some issues, and some mail outages, overall it has been positive. I have had 6 days of this chaos, one more day of working and then I get to have 2 days off, back to the grindstone then on Saturday. I was Miss Bitch at work, and ripped a few people’s heads off when I had my headache for the 5th day in a row (today headache free) In the afternoon, I went and apologised to all my friends i got irritated with.
So after that side trip,
I went to one of the team managers and had a chat to them about my career prospects, what i wanted, and why I couldn’t have it due to the cut in pay. My work stuffed up tax, and with me having a HECS debt, I have a bit of $$ to pay back to the tax man. It went OK. We had a chat, and the long and the short of it is.. I am valued, I am happy, and they need me. That is nice to know In this day and age, you don’t get that from employers much anymore.
OK now for the social side of things…

I am seeing the Tao Drummers (Martial Art of Noise) on 26 August!! with JJ. Nothing like seeing hot bods and drums. This very exciting. Then in October, I have tickets to see David Strassman!! He’s that american dude who wanders around with rude evil puppets and does a good job at being a Ventriloquist I got great tickets .. right up the front! So I will be taking MM to see that particular event. It’s all happening here!
Apart from all that, my social life is non existent, my current crop of friends aren’t around atm so i am making new ones

Ack i hate deciding between my resume and my hip pocket - its kind of a catch 22 situation and i do not envy you any facing that decision and say only try and go where your heart tells you. But your right, loyalty being recognised yet alone rewarded is a rarity.
Oh and as for social life, your doing better than me
