last night i saw probably the lowest form that humanity can take. A man beating his girlfriend who was lying on the ground under my balcony.
i avoid trouble, i would cross the street to ensure that no one would pay attention to me, if it meant that i would attract someone´s eye. Last night, it was time to be counted.
I called the cops, and then i went downstairs and waited with the poor woman till they arrived. the boyfriend came back up a few times to tell her to get back inside, and that he was leaving. he also labelled me and the other people who had stopped him from beating her more as nosy cunts, but i think aswell, i saw some of the good things last night. not much, but enough.
however today, i have felt a little despondent and sat on the balcony staring at the blood on the bitumen. i dont know if she will stay with him, or go, but it would be nice if she gets a new life.
It´s my birthday tomorrow. 33.

Sometimes you just have to stand up and be counted I guess and the guy beating his girlfriend was one of those times!
