how does one move?

How does one move countries?

I am attempting to garner contacts within the UK as I am thinking I might go over there for a while and work. Much to my mother’s disappointment. As I told her, she has a backup daughter, so why worry about me?

I won’t have immigration worries, since i have a British passport, but finding work and affordable accomodation, that’s the hard bit.

you just do…. get your savings up before you move over there, there will be a while where you will be jobless and trying to settle…. pack all your stuff here into storage or big wooden boxes to ship over later, take only what you need with you on the plane. Maybe stay with a friend until you find a place etc..
Have you got a place in the UK in mind?

Finding work is probably the easy bit. There are plenty of employment agencies about and if you have family/contacts it should be even easier. Affordable accomodation. Might have to room with someone - there are plenty of Aussies over there - but you may wish to stay away from the cheap dormitory style hotels. Too many people there for partying and not working to care about others. And things might get pinched.

Good luck. Nice to see you back online.

Like the first commenter said. You just do it.
I lived in the UK for six months, but I have relos over there so it was a bit easier for me.

You won’t have any drama getting work.
      Good luck with it.
