Weekend fun
Well I was planning on having a good weekend, going out and having fun etc. However plans change on a 5 cent piece (dime) and now I find that my magical 48 hours of non work bliss is turning into hell.
One of the other TL’s at work, told me he was feeling sick today, and had some issues with some medication he is on, so he needs to take Saturday off. Just great, it’s the weekend that I am the standby TL for just such an occaision. I now have to work tomorrow, from 8.30am. I confirmed that he was working on Sunday, because last night dad rang me.
Dad told me he is going into hospital, and he wants me to go see him on Sunday. So I cancelled the outing I had planned. Going to the movies with JJ and JH, and watching a 3d movie for $10, which is dirt cheap. I told my boss, that no, I wasn’t happy about working the Saturday, but the TL needed to have the day off, so that’s what I would do, but I really did need to have Sunday off to see my dad.
OK now for what I did tonight. Went out to a great restaurant in Northbridge, called New Orleans, and had some great food, and great company. Most of the people at the dinner from work but they were all the people i just love talking to. Nice mix of girls, and JH, the token gay white asian jewish penis boy (steph thats the one who’s head looked like a penis from behind) We had alot of fun, but the bizarre thing was the bitching happening down one end of the table.. like they were cutting sick at all sorts of people, then they started on one of MY girls in my team.. and i was like.. whoah! steady on, she’s not like that.. lay off.
