The hunt continues…
To update on my previous post, I paid the medical bill, and filled out the reimbursement form. That will get submitted this week, and I’ll get the money back in 2 weeks time.
I’ve been job hunting now since January. Applied for a job at a bank, didn’t get it due to not enough experience in one key area, however, they thought I interviewed well, and I got excellent feedback. I applied for another job at an ISP and got an interview but pulled out due to pay reasons, not enough being offered. Probably didn’t help that the landlord upped the rent, but with interest rates skyrocketting, I understand their need to pay the bills, and the guy has a new family to look after.
I’ve now put in for a position at another ISP in a leadership position, so we will see how this one goes. I made it through the phone interview. Then the face 2 face, now it’s psych profiling. After reading the preparation packs, I’m wondering what they get out of that much profiling. I’ve also sent a copy of my resume to someone else, because it’s always good to keep my options open. Might mean getting more pay too. Let’s hope so.
Let’s discuss work for a sec, it’s the subject of a takeover. I’m finding out daily, horror stories of how the corporate mind works when you don’t work for an ethical company anymore. Sooner I leave the better. Apparently my team have pissed off a key manager so, pretty soon I can see I’ll be getting pressure applied, so they will just leave us alone and wait for us to leave. Asshats. I am a realist. With this takeover, my team and I, will be deemed surplus to requirements when they send the work offshore. Ahh, sucks to be working in a call centre at times. The sooner I am out of here, the better.
