 sigh…

Living at my sister’s for two weeks was good. I got drunk one night, and had a 2 day hangover. That was bad - 2 whole days on one bottle of red wine. Great wine though, but I would say I am getting old. I was cold, her house may as well not had walls it was so cold, and then when i was sleeping in her bed, the three dooners she had on the bed basically meant that I was forced to lie still like i was trapped under their weight.

I am so tired this week, stress from work has been mounting, and I applied for another job, within the same company, just doing a different role. Would be good if I get it, because it would be out of the firing line in some aspects. I applied for it because MM thought it would be a good opportunity for me.  So did my parents and friends, but I really wanted to just ditch my job and move over to be with MM.

I got an email from an immigration person who said that MM and I don’t qualify as defacto because we haven’t lived together, we’d have to get married. I told him that last night.  Then of course, him saying I should apply for the job, means I would have to be here another 6 months at least. It’s an emotional issue, and we got a little snappy at eachother, because I really don’t want to do the long distance thing forever. I broke down and cried for a bit, I think in my head I had committed myself to leaving, and was getting ready for it, and now I feel like the rug has been pulled out from underneath me.

I don’t know what to do anymore. I just want him to make up his mind about what he wants. He kept changing the subject to something less serious, but this is very serious. I know however, it’s probably not the best time for us to talk about it because I am so stressed, and probably a little too emotional. He’s probably stressed about it as well.. but it did remind me of X and he’s nothing like X, so it’s an unfair, irrational comparison.

 Lazy Weekend & Memories

Since I had Friday off, I had my sleep-in, and slack off day, rather than have it on the Saturday like I usually do. I was up and at’em before my mum arrived back from her shopping trip. Washing was on, hair had been washed - and I had planned on doing some reading. A book lent to me by my jnrBossman: Solution-focused Coaching. I provided the link since when you search for it on Amazon.com, the stupid book title is spelt incorrectly. Seems as though my coaching style I use at work is similar in some ways to this, but I have never read books about it. There are small subtleties that I could probably pick up and use for my own coaching for my team, mind you I can be confrontational at times if I am not happy with something, and I could change that.

Met J for coffee. Found a wireless controller for my X box, and purchased a game, Ghost Master. Completely cheesey and full of bad organ music, and girly screams. It was nice spending some girly time with J, She is on holidays not at work, so I haven’t had my gossip time I usually do.

I have unpacked some of my belongings.. and my certamic cats are now up on the cabinet in my room, intermixed with my blue bottles. The vase gran gave me is out and cleaned, and some of the bits I brought back from sweden are now out. When I look at them, bring me memories of when I went to Kosta, and Orrefors to look at all the glass shops. I probably was wearing a top I shouldn’t have - since it did show off a bit of curvage. Not sure how appropriate it was considering that we were sharing a car with MM’s brother, who is a Minister.

The drive up to a small town called Hovmantorp took a few hours, bit like driving to Margaret River, about 2.5 hrs or so. We went through some pretty amazing countryside, all green, in a Skoda of all the cars. I have some memories of Skoda’s going back to a teenager, with one of my friends whose family restored them. Anyways, eventually we arrived in time for lunch and to say hello. I was very nervous! MM’s Brother needs a name, so we will call him SB for Storebror, which means older brother.

I wandered around his brother’s house and gardens, mainly gardens. I didn’t want to wander around too much inside since it was just filled with beautiful antique furniture. He lives in this old swedish house, 2 storey, with servants’quarters (closed up), and a sauna in the cellar (i didn’t see that). The house overlooks a lake, and in summer, you can see people sailing around on the surface, but then there are loads of midgies.. not so pleasant to be honest.

After lunch, we went travelling around Smaland, to Kosta, Orrefors and a few other small towns looking at all the Glassworks and art galleries. It was amazing, and I can’t wait to go back there again. Mind you lots of things will be closed by the time I get there due to the season. It will still be beautiful.

Enough of the ramblings from my holiday last year. I guess since it’s been a year, I am starting to relive all the cool things I did. MM returns from SB’s and the family business and I have much to talk to him about, and catch up with. I have missed him whilst he has been gone these two weeks.

 Blatherings episode 1

Boring bus rides.

I now think that the bus route I am on, is one of the most boring in the Metropolitan area.

There is a chick that gets on the bus, same stop as me, really skinny, really blonde, wears a black skirt; white blouse and black coat and heels. She reads a book on the bus, and she gets on the same bus at night. She walks really fast in her high heels to the point where I think judging by the wobbling, she is going to fall over and break her ankle. She doesn’t. She gets through one book a week.

The students are boring, they study on the bus.  The old people dress up real nice if they are going to the hospital.  On the way home, we get the couple who obviously go to the gym in the city (there are many) and look hot and sweaty as they get onto the bus, sit on a seat together and canoodle.

The bus driver doesn’t like people swearing, so he tells people to stop swearing if he hears it, or he will throw them off the bus. I don’t know if that is allowed. I don’t think it’s part of the rules, but you never know. He had a broken window on his bus 2 nights ago. Apparently some drunk people threw rocks at the bus.

I have sat in different seats on the bus seeing if I disturb anyone, and it doesn’t seem like it. However, the snogging couple have now chosen the same seat twice, so I will aim for that seat on Monday night and see what happens.

I also had the fun experience of putting together an exercise bike with dad today. He got it from KMart, on special. I was sure that there was some kind of weight limit, but he’s on it, it hasn’t broken, and right now he is working hard at it. Well he quit after 5 minutes :P My turn later tonight when I am talking to MM I think.  Dad has been lecturing me on eating. apparently i am not allowed to be hungry anymore, in fact, if I am hungry, must drink water instead, and eat some nuts! lucky me! Ah the things I have to do now that I live at home.

 Wandering through AQWA

MM and I went through AQWA on the first weekend he was in Perth.

We checked out a whole range of fishies, stingrays, blue bottle jellyfish, and the cool underwater travel escalator thingy where we don’t need to get off, we just stand on it and go round in circles for hours and hours and hours.. Awesome stuff. I learnt how big blue ringed octopus really are! like.. |< ---------------------------->| that big.

Anyways.. some photo’s are included below.

Looking at the Sushi bar

When we were on the conveyor belt thing, MM was reminded of Jaws Sushi bars, where the sushi plates travel around the restaurant and the diners pick what they want off the belt, and the Sharks looking down at us must have been thinking the same thing.

AQWA is located at Hillaries Boat Harbour North of the City on the coast.

 how does one move?

How does one move countries?

I am attempting to garner contacts within the UK as I am thinking I might go over there for a while and work. Much to my mother’s disappointment. As I told her, she has a backup daughter, so why worry about me?

I won’t have immigration worries, since i have a British passport, but finding work and affordable accomodation, that’s the hard bit.

 Margaret River

We went to Margaret River and we had a ball. We didn’t do anything major, like go tour all the wineries .. I will be honest, living in WA, and in Perth, we are spoiled for wines and wineries just on the outskirts of the city - and when you have beeen to one winery you have been to them all. So instead we went caving. That was enjoyable.

We visited Jewell Cave, Lake Cave and Mammoth Cave - The amount of walking up and down stairs, and caves was huge! I was ready to just crawl up and cry - I have a spur on my heel so it was painful to walk. However I soldiered on, and the view was just awesome. It was worth the aches and pains.

The funny thing about the caving was that we had the same guide for all three caves. When MM and I got to Lake Cave, we decided to go for a walk whilst waiting for the next tour. There is a path that takes about 25 minutes to walk through the bushes. We could hear snakes slythering around. There were these huge flies that sounded like those Pod Racers from Starwars. With this Waaaaaaaaaow sound they flitted between the trees and bushes and whipping up my hair! Ick.

This post was written ages ago, just not posted. :-)

 Spare thoughts..

Update on current life at the moment.. I had a job interview for a TL role at work, I will find out tomorrow (this morning) how I went.
.

MM is going to come and visit me in October I think, he has about 2/3rds of the $$ needed for his tickets. I am happy and excited. I miss our afternoon walks.

I realised that Dad’s friend was cracking on to me in a big way, like.. I figured out part of it when I was sitting out on MM’s balcony and drying my hair, with his comment late on the second night I was at his house “oh i was rather hoping you would show me around”. This is after he had made a big deal about the Eros fountain in london, which I had never heard of. Apparently young people go there hoping to find out their true loves, to which I scorned the whole idea of people going to a fountain like that in the middle of London to look for love. Then there was the pity comments, about his life and stuff, how lonely he was etc. Finally the comment about how much money he has saved. Let’s not forget the sitting next to me and his feet stretching out to touch my feet when we were on the tube. So.. he tried the romance tricks, the money one.. and the pity party tricks, to which I was totally oblivious because 1: I wasn’t attracted to a 45+ yr old man with a massive chip on his shoulder, whinged and moaned like Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter, who has pauline hanson One nation beliefs and 2: I liked and was meeting someone else and 3: who on earth would find someone like me attractive in the first place?. So I told mum, and she said “Don’t ever tell your father” bwahaha that’s so funny.
I had on my night in London by myself, an interesting discussion with an Iranian man, who was a resident of Dubai, living in london. He was writing a book of para-psychology? I didn’t quite get it. He was a psychologist none the less. He is writing about how some people use religion to get the population to do what they wish, like sheep. How people let their religious beliefs override common sense. He also didn’t like how psychology was taught these days. We both shared the same idea that Psychology should be learnt, not taught. I don’t know if everyone would agree with that, but there is something wrong with 23 yr olds providing counselling services (yes it happens in govt depts.) So after our chat he wanted to know if he could do anything for me. I asked if he could mend my heart, and he smiled and said, “no, but I can walk you to your hotel” I declined his offer, but our chat made me feel better.

I think Kenny Rogers is too brown and looks like he has had too much public surgery, and since I am watching Paid Adverts and they are advertising Time Life Country music CD’s, it is time for me to sleep.

 The photos…

I took several hundred photo’s and not all of them are going to be available :D however..
If you click on this link here You will see photos! There are 2 pictures where I am in them, good luck scouring each one. Or you can view some of the thumbnails below.. and i know they are screwed at the moment but i have to go out.. so i will fix later.
